Keokuk Area Hospital is a 63-bed, community based, short-term, acute care facility. The Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare organizations. We are a nonprofit organization and have more than 450 employees. Keokuk Area Hospital provides medical services to patients in a nondiscriminatory manner, without regard to their race, creed, age, national origin, handicap or economic status. Keokuk Area Hospital has grown in sophistication and scope of service, and in 2009 cared for more than 3,300 inpatients; performed 1,933 surgical procedures; 28,964 radiology procedures and 169,718 laboratory tests; and is caring for growing numbers of emergency room patients, home care and industrial medicine clients.
